Velbrück Rationalität im 21. Jahrhundert

The annual "KOLLOQUIA Triesen" conference is an interdisciplinary discussion forum for questions and problems relating to the theory of science in the social sciences, in particular in sociology, political science, economics, law, history and education. KOLLOQUIA Triesen" not only aims to raise awareness of the massive influence of scientific-theoretical convictions on cognitive practice in the social sciences, but with its interdisciplinary orientation it also reflects the fact that the questions and problems to be discussed here usually affect several, sometimes even all social science disciplines.The opening event of "KOLLOQUIA Triesen" in 2022 was organised under the general theme of "Rationality in the 21st century" and served to take stock of the ideas of rationality in the social sciences. Accordingly, the articles in this volume examine the content and limits of rationality theories from the perspectives of various social science disciplines, as well as whether and to what extent rational cognitive practice has been lost and how certain ideas of rationality can be implemented politically: Max Albert, Andreas Diekmann, Jan Tobias Fuhrmann, Volker Gadenne, Rainer Hegselmann, Till Neuhaus, Birger Priddat, Roland Reichenbach and Anna Roßmann.
