The siblings Johanna (16), Konrad (14), and Fridolin (11) all agree on one thing: Alice is crazy. Not only does her new vacation acquaintance claim to contact ghosts with her phone, but she also seriously asserts that she is on the trail of a long-lost magical world in the Harz mountains. Unfortunately, the girl's wild claims turn out to be far less absurd than they seem, as the four heroes suddenly find themselves in "No Man's Land," a crazy universe full of witches, trolls, and who knows what else. While Alice accompanies the wizard Obscuril, Fridolin rises to become the dark ruler, Johanna becomes a rebel leader, and Konrad becomes the drummer of a rather bizarre rock band, a deadly danger looms over their heads.
