Phil Bishop downed the whisky, wiped his mouth with his dusty sleeve, and confidently slammed the glass onto the bar. "Another one." As Al poured, Phil's gaze fell on a stranger sitting somewhat apart at the other end of the bar. He wore an elegant black suit with a blue silk waistcoat, a tie, and a pristine white shirt. He seemed completely absorbed in emptying the half-full bottle in front of him. Nevertheless, Phil asked, "Hey, stranger. Can I invite you for a drink?" The stranger looked up, and only then could Phil Bishop see his eyes, which had been hidden in the shadow of the hat brim. He had never seen such clear, bright eyes before...
