Product details
The environmental problem has become one of the greatest threats to modern society. Nevertheless, it struggles to establish an effective environmental policy. The thesis of the book is that the environmental crisis is linked to the organization of the social system. This means that it reflects general characteristics of this system, such as the excesses of modern culture (growth, faster, more), the perception of nature primarily as a resource inventory, an external concept of welfare, and an unleashed economy and technology. It follows that a sustainable environmental policy requires a transition to a different kind of society. The book attempts to provide some insights in this regard.
