Väter und Söhne

The relationships between fathers and their children are as complex as life itself. And it is particularly appealing to browse through the photo archives of great masters, such as those of Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, or those of contemporary photographers, who have mostly captured the special intimacy between father and child in individual pictures or short sequences of images. Benteli Verlag is now publishing for the first time a carefully edited selection of these snapshots: Photographs taken over the past decades and capturing the most diverse life circumstances and moments. Together they depict the entire spectrum of human emotions: Love, humour and joy, but also despair or sadness can be read from the faces of the fathers and children portrayed. The book is complemented by a literary essay by Wladimir Kaminer.
