Andr Schmidt (economist)

André Schmidt, born on April 23, 1967, in Erfurt, is a professor of economics, specializing in international economic policy, at the European Business School, International University Schloss Reichartshausen (Department of Law, Governance & Economics, Chair for International Economic Policy). André Schmidt studied economics at the University of Hohenheim from 1988 to 1994. From 1994 to 2000, he worked as a research associate at the University of Hohenheim, where he earned his Ph.D. in December 1997 with the thesis "Regulatory Perspectives of European Integration in the Tension between Competition and Industrial Policy." From 2000 to 2004, André Schmidt was a research assistant at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, where he habilitated in July 2004. He then took on roles as a senior assistant at the Georg-August University of Göttingen.
