Product details
The Untimely Meditations consist of four essays by Friedrich Nietzsche, published between 1873 and 1876: First Piece: David Strauss, the Confessor and the Writer, 1873; Second Piece: On the Use and Disadvantage of History for Life, 1874; Third Piece: Schopenhauer as Educator, 1874; Fourth Piece: Richard Wagner in Bayreuth, 1876. Nietzsche initially intended to dedicate the entire 30s of his life to the Untimely Meditations. His plans included up to 13 working titles covering topics such as state, religion, natural science, labor and property, and We philologists. Only four of the meditations were realized.
