The volume provides versatile, innovative, and yet practical suggestions for planning and designing mathematics instruction in upper secondary education, taking into account the latest nationwide valid standards for the Abitur. The theoretical foundations of the principles of contemporary mathematics teaching and lesson design in the first part of the volume are practically implemented through 19 current and authentic lesson plans from upper secondary education, specifically in the areas of analysis, analytical geometry/linear algebra, and statistics. Among these are 9 lesson plans for examination teaching assessments. The book is based on close collaboration between the first phase (University of Bielefeld) and the second phase of teacher training (study seminars in Bocholt, Dresden, Freiburg, Hameln, Heidelberg, Leer, Münster, Oldenburg, Würzburg).
