Product details
The commitment does not end with the signing of the merger agreement; rather, the significant challenge begins after the announcement of the merger between two companies. One of the key success factors is the relevance of the corporate cultures and the creation of a new identity for the employees. The failure rate of mergers and acquisitions is between 50-70 percent. The causes for this are primarily found in post-merger integration. The main focus of this work is to examine the importance of corporate culture on the success of a merger during the post-merger integration phase. This topic was investigated using the example of two mergers in the Austrian telecommunications market.
