Rheologische Analyse von Rohöl, Emulsionen und Inhibitoren

This book is aimed at students researching rheology, emulsions, and inhibitors for crude oil, as well as others involved in these topics, and those who wish to learn a typical methodology for them. It is also recommended for teachers. The goal of this book is to investigate the rheological properties of light crude oil and its emulsions to gain more information about the rheological behavior of oil flow in pipelines. The studies were conducted at a temperature of 20 °C using the RheoStress (ThermoHaake, Germany). The results showed that the consistency of the produced emulsions changed with the water content. The investigation of the useful compound revealed a semi-Newtonian behavior with a moderately stable consistency due to 100% light crude gasoline. However, the Bingham plastic and Herschel-Bulkley models better represented the rheological behaviors of emulsions with different water fixations. The stability of the emulsions was determined by evaluating rheological parameters such as the non-Newtonian consistency.
