Kindergesundheit und -sterblichkeit in Indien

Malnutrition and child mortality plague an excessively large number of children in India. The prevalence of severely malnourished children causes the country to deviate somewhat from the goal of achieving the Millennium Development Goals associated with child malnutrition. Using data from the National Family Health Survey, Government of India, this study examines the trends and determinants of malnutrition and child mortality in India. The study analyzes the determinants of nutritional status and child mortality in India and presents some alternative policy proposals to reduce child mortality and the malnutrition status of children in India. The book aims to meet the needs of students in economics, demography, education, health and hygiene, as well as sociology. The findings of the study are expected to be beneficial for academics in general, planners, and policymakers.
