ADI Auswirkungen auf das Wirtschaftswachstum in Entwicklungsländern

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), like most developing countries, is still far from economic development and continues to face financing issues due to insufficient domestic resources. This includes the financing needs of the trade and current account deficit, as well as bridging the gap between savings and investments. Since the use of international loans remains limited due to already concerning levels of debt, and development aid is still inadequate, foreign direct investment (FDI) presents itself as an alternative that does not incur external debt. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of Chinese FDI on economic growth in the DRC. To achieve this, we employed multiple regression analysis to estimate the model. The results of our study indicate that Chinese FDI flowing into the DRC has a positive but not significant impact on the economic growth of the recipient country.
