It will not be enough to simply refer to the legal requirements set by politics or to claim that, given the global dimensions, nothing can be done. We are all called upon to critically examine our own lifestyles, consumption patterns, mobility concepts, dietary habits, or even trivial matters like the design of our front gardens if we want to sustainably secure quality of life and prosperity at an appropriate level.
