The compact one-volume course, consisting of 28 lessons, provides a direct and motivating approach to reading Latin original texts. The university course in Latin offers: lesson texts based on Caesar, Cicero, Sallust, and Seneca that increasingly align with the originals throughout the course, an integrated grammar guide organized by lessons, consideration of the learning prerequisites for adults (including those of non-German origin), a focus on the essential minimum of grammar, language sections for translation practice, stylistics, text analysis, and much more, parallels from English, Romance languages, or Russian, basic knowledge of Roman cultural and literary history, as well as free supplementary material offered through media codes (e.g., grammar preparatory course, additional exercises, practice exams, overview texts).
