In honour of Peter A. Berger, who died in 2018, the history of his impact and the significance of his sociological work today will be presented. In the process, former colleagues have their say, each presenting their own conclusions and areas of work in social structure analysis influenced by Peter A. Berger, as well as new research results. The book serves both to familiarise readers with Peter A. Berger's sociology and to place his work in the sociology of social inequality. It spans the gap between Berger's work, the significance of his work for German social structure analysis and the resulting importance for current and future research in this discipline.
