A second time, daughters and sons of lesbian mothers, gay fathers and - new - of parents who identify themselves as transgender have their say. Ten years after the first interviews, the 34 children, adolescents and adults were once again asked about their views on their families - families that are still perceived as "special" or even "in need of explanation". What do the children find great about their family? What do they like about their parents, what do they criticize? What wishes and dreams do they have for their lives? What fears or reactions do they deal with? What do they experience as supportive? The texts convey all this authentically and vividly. The children also talk openly about crises and separations and about how their parents are there for them. And they give us an insight into their families, who are "quite normal" and some of them are not.
