He recounts his upbringing in Saxony-Anhalt, initially during the times of World War II and the post-war period, his studies and early career steps in the GDR, his continuous rise in the steel industry to significant positions in West Germany, as well as the downfalls caused by intrigues, including imprisonment, which he has repeatedly overcome with unwavering energy. Furthermore, he provides interesting insights into economic events and political and historical contexts beyond Germany's borders, particularly concerning Ukraine, with which he feels a close connection.
