Since the publication of her successful book "Death Fasting," in which Christiane zur Nieden lovingly and vividly described the process of her mother's death fasting, numerous people have reached out to the author with their own stories. This led to a lively exchange, in which Christiane zur Nieden and her husband Hans-Christoph provided both professional and mental support. The authors have collected and commented on these case studies of voluntary abstention from food and fluids at the end of life.
