Product details

This book is a true sensation! Until now, the proponents of the preventive strike thesis have primarily been Germans (Prof. Werner Maser, Dr. Joachim Hoffmann, Dr. Walter Post, Dr. Heinz Magenheimer) and Viktor Suvorov, a Russian who defected to the West during Soviet times. One might assume that the Germans have the motive to downplay the guilt of the German Empire, while Suvorov is driven by a desire for "settling accounts" with the hated Soviet system. However, now nine Russian-speaking historians are stepping forward to support Suvorov's central thesis: "It is true, Stalin planned an aggressive war against the West in the summer of 1941, during which he initially aimed to occupy all of Europe in order to enforce world revolution from this stronghold." In contrast to Germany, there is a free scientific dialogue on this topic in Russia, and what is dismissed as an outsider opinion here has long been established in the Russian historical community. The editors have selected nine contributions for this book that contain countless facts previously unknown in the West, as there was unrestricted access to Russian political and military archives in the 1990s, which the authors of this anthology utilized. This concentrated load of facts and arguments from historians of the country that we allegedly "attacked without cause" in 1941 can no longer be ignored by the German public.
