Über die Eiserne Hand hinüber

In 1942, the border between the German Reich and Switzerland is hermetically sealed off north of Basel. Only a finger-like piece of land, extending just under two kilometers into the Reich, remains unblocked: the Iron Hand. In a village not far from this fence lives the Heimer family. When son Paul dies at the border, Father Heimer takes a long time to understand that the Nazis are responsible for Paul's death. He decides to confront the murderer in his own way and crosses the border one last time. Many years later, a resident of this village keeps finding discarded children's socks. Unable to explain their origin, he resolves to get to the bottom of the matter.
