The message from the redeeming God in the images of His creation. Since he stepped down from his bishopric due to age, Reinhold Stecher has been able to take up the paintbrush more often. His paintings do not address religious themes in the usual sense, but are primarily landscape watercolors; nonetheless, Bishop Reinhold Stecher understands each of his paintings as a symbol of deep religious significance. He reveals this special perspective on the colors and forms of creation in his new book. "Whether it is the sun mist over a lake," he writes in the introduction, "the glow of an evening cloud, or the emerald green patch of forest created by a stray beam on a dark mountainside, whether it is the morning sun rising over a city after a rainy night, or whether one admires the silver shimmer of a moonlit night in the glacier crevice, or the play of light on a leaf.".
