For having lived in this country, which has been torn apart by endless wars and conflicts between communities, maintained by unscrupulous politicians willing to do anything to preserve their selfish interests. The negative impacts of violence on people's lives in Chad are well known. This book describes the socio-political situation in Chad after independence in 1960, focusing particularly on the miserable relationships among the Chadian population following the civil war of 1979. After this unfortunate event, the successive regimes of FROLINAT manipulated the population on ethnic, regional, and religious levels without argument, in order to maintain power with the complicity of the former metropolis. The author advocates for quality education to build a just society based on values such as social justice, equal opportunity, respect for oneself and the common good, and harmonious and sustainable development.
