With simplified rules and pre-made characters, it's easy to sit down and start playing quickly. The One Ring is set between the time Bilbo set out on his journey and the events of The Lord of the Rings. You can explore the Shire by stepping into the roles of some hobbits whose children will later do extraordinary things, such as Drogo Baggins, Rorig Brandybuck, and Esmeralda Took.
