The concept of the Trio series for secondary schools in Bavaria ideally combines content from the subjects of history, politics, and geography. The core competencies, competency areas, and content related to these competency areas outlined in the LehrplanPLUS for Bavarian secondary schools are structured didactically and chronologically in a meaningful way and presented in a layout that aligns with the reading habits of students. Special attention is given to student-appropriate texts and a motivating, differentiated, and contemporary task culture.

The series is characterized by a wide range of project- and action-oriented content. Additionally, numerous learning materials are provided for independent practice, application, review, and deepening of knowledge.
