Wanja

The last century was marked by dictatorship and violence, but also by new beginnings and the opportunity to build a more peaceful world. While Wilhelm and Werner had to endure the horrors of the two world wars, Wolfram was able to witness the changes towards peace in Europe. The world powers were still heavily armed against each other, and there were conflicts worldwide that were fought with violence. The fourth part of the family story, Wanja, who is discussed in this book, experienced radical upheavals that ultimately brought a new era of peace to Europe. However, it became more complicated for everyone to find their way and move forward courageously into the future. In Saxony, too, people seized the opportunities presented by these changes, even though many struggled to cope with everyday life. By the end of the century, Germany was divided.
