Simply tells the story of Joshua's life. The little boy faces challenges due to his illness, which affects his speech among other things. Time and again, he must confront new obstacles that everyday life presents to him. What is easy for other boys his age often poses difficulties for Joshua: making new friends, communicating with family, and playing freely. All these things are challenging for Joshua. On the other hand, there are Joshua's parents and his family. Not all family members cope with Joshua's situation in the same way. For example, Evelin, his mother, is very cautious and always careful not to expose Joshua to any danger, while his father, David, insists on providing him with a life as normal as that of his peers. This also includes grandparents and especially Joshua's godfather.
