Traumwelten II - Bilder zum Werk Karl Mays

The second volume of "Traumwelten", edited by Wolfgang Hermesmeier and Stefan Schmatz, follows on chronologically from the first part (978-3-7802-0166-9). Whereas Volume I included those artists who illustrated the works of Karl May during his lifetime, the following volume now presents those artists who first appeared in the period from 1913 to 1930. A clear emphasis is placed on the works of the congenial illustrators Carl Lindeberg and Zdenek Burian, but in the second volume of "Traumwelten" there are also many rarities and many generally unknown artists to be discovered. Continuing the concept of the first volume, the work of the individual painters and draughtsmen with regard to May is bibliographically recorded and commented on in addition to short biographies. Once again, a selection of the best and most beautiful is presented.
