Traumatherapie mit EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a technique for therapeutic trauma processing and also represents an inner attitude, almost like a small miracle. After an introduction to general psychotraumatology and the theoretical background, empirical experiences with EMDR are reported. The focus of the book is on explaining the practical implementation of EMDR. Therapeutic difficulties are addressed in detail, appropriate ways to handle them are presented, and professional affect management and resource-oriented work are introduced. EMDR is recognized as a scientifically validated method for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in adults, according to the report of the Scientific Advisory Board for Psychotherapy following the PsychTHG.
