Physical and sexual violence, war, accidents - traumatic events are manifold, can affect anyone, and can lead to severe mental illnesses. We now possess extensive knowledge about the psychophysical processes involved in the development of post-traumatic stress disorders. At the same time, various disorder-specific psychotherapeutic methods have been developed for their treatment. In this anthology, renowned authors from science and practice present new and established, evidence-based therapeutic approaches for trauma-related disorders from the perspective of different psychotherapeutic methods. Both outpatient and inpatient treatment methods, as well as therapies for adults and for children and adolescents, are taken into account.
