The work "Transactions on Large-Scale Data- and Knowledge-Centered Systems XXXIV" is the 34th edition of this series and focuses on the topic of consistency and inconsistency in data-centered applications. This special issue includes seven scientific contributions that address various aspects of logical inconsistencies. The volume opens with an invited article that discusses fundamental postulates for inconsistency measures. Three of the remaining six articles are revised and expanded versions of contributions presented at the first international workshop on this topic, COIN 2016. The other three articles are from a call for submissions for this issue. Each paper highlights a specific subtopic, all sharing a common focus on the systematic avoidance or consistent handling of logical inconsistencies.
