Product details
Hyperactive children with attention disorders often struggle to focus on a task and stick with it. They tend to be impulsive and do not finish what they start. This proven training program specifically addresses these issues. The intervention program guides detailed and careful diagnostics and presents the necessary procedures and materials. The therapy targets the identified areas of disturbance. Both the child and the parents are provided with specific skills. The intervention is divided into three therapy components, which are detailed as follows: (1) Basic training to acquire specific skills for self-regulation, (2) Strategy training to develop a thoughtful and organized approach, and (3) Parental guidance to support therapy progress and address specific interaction or parenting issues. The transfer to everyday life is encouraged through special training sessions. New in the 7th edition: • Complete revision of the training book with updated literature • Expansion of training sessions to 16 components each in basic and strategy training • Inclusion of a unit on emotion regulation • Video clips to introduce basic and strategy training • Additional worksheets, mostly in color • Worksheets, video clips, and audio files available for download online.
