Please note that this title mainly consists of content that is freely available on the internet, such as from the Wikipedia encyclopedia. Berline was founded as an airline by employees of the former Interflug. At times, up to about 170 employees were employed, most of whom came from Interflug. After the liquidation of Interflug by the decision of the Treuhand on February 7, 1991, pilots and staff from the IL-18 squadron came together and took over some aircraft of this type in the spring of that year. They established IL-18 Air Cargo. The company was privately financed by the employees, partly with funds from the social plan. On November 1, 1991, the company changed its name to Berline. The managing directors were Wolfgang Krauss and Reinhard Knäblein. The owners were Messrs. Krauss, Knäblein, and Kühn.
