What could be frostier than a Canadian winter storm? Tempe Brennan, a forensic scientist in Montreal, is called to a discovery site on a dreary Monday morning, which makes her blood freeze in her veins. The bodies of three young women are buried in a vaulted cellar. Not a single fiber of tissue reveals why these girls had to die. Thanks to meticulous investigation and female intuition, Tempe is able to track down a suspect. But she must be prepared for anything, because her opponent is unsurpassed in cold-bloodedness.
