I had actually organized and arranged my daily life satisfactorily. It was mainly the little things that usually went unnoticed, like not tripping over something while walking through the apartment, or being able to watch the news on TV without someone constantly nagging me about when there would be something to eat. In the mornings, the alarm clock still had its purpose, and at night I could sleep peacefully without interruption, and above all: my bed was entirely mine. The houseplants thrived beautifully, no wallpaper was scratched, and I could go to the kitchen without being chased by a crazy maniac. Even in the mornings, I could stand helplessly in front of the open wardrobe door without four paws disappearing inside and staying there until my favorite black sweater was covered in fur.
