Toleranz der Chemotherapie bei Darmkrebs

Assessment of compatibility according to WHO classification of adjuvant and palliative chemotherapy in colorectal carcinoma. Methods: Prospective study involving 40 patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma treated with chemotherapy over a period of 4 years. Results: 40 patients with an average age of 56 years were included. 71 chemotherapy regimens were administered, with side effects observed in 59 regimens (83%). Severe toxicities were primarily noted with Folfox 4 and Folfiri-type chemotherapy. Side effects, when all toxicities were combined, were more frequently observed in palliative chemotherapy (66%, p = 0.04) and in advanced stages (Stage IV, 44%, p = 0.04). After symptomatic treatment, an improvement in symptoms was noted in 52.5% of cases. A worsening of symptoms was observed in 42.5% of cases, leading to a dose reduction in 76% of cases and a secondary improvement in 63% of cases. Monitoring through the WHO sheet allowed for a change or discontinuation of the treatment regimen to be avoided in ¾ of cases. In fact, a change of regimen was necessary in 8.6% of cases, and a permanent stop was required in 18.6% of cases.
