This is the first collection of materials on anxiety disorders for this client group. The risk of a mental illness is three to five times higher for people with cognitive impairments compared to the general population. This also applies to anxiety disorders. Although many individuals with cognitive impairments require psychotherapy, there are very few adequate treatment options and hardly any therapeutic materials tailored to their needs. A simplified language level (technical term "easy language") and the inclusion of caregivers in therapy are important aspects.
