Many therapists are hesitant when it comes to group therapy – the effort often seems too high, and there is a significant fear of difficult group situations or complicated organization. However, psychotherapy in a group is at least as effective as individual therapy.

Participants in a therapy group have the opportunity to gain diverse learning and relational experiences, exchange ideas, and meet people with similar problems. They learn to deal with conflicts and reflect on their own insecurities.

The Therapy Tools volume supports the preparation and implementation of group therapy and offers over 240 materials on various disorder and problem areas, which can be worked through chronologically but do not have to be. It is suitable for classic group therapy in closed groups as well as for semi-open or open groups.

In the 3rd edition, it has been expanded to include materials on the topics of "Medication Addiction" and "Grief Management."
