Theorie des Eigentums

In his "Theory of Property" (1866) Pierre-Joseph Proudhon subjected capitalist property to a scientific and political critique of principles. Its topicality is particularly evident where he characterizes it as an instrument of growing economic and political power and as an object of ever sharper intra-societal conflicts. Proudhon combines this critique with his concept of a socially oriented organization of property in "an economy based on the principle of reciprocity" (Gerhard Senft), which is put up for discussion in this translation.
