• offers a clear theological and hermeneutical conception, which is already expressed in the title: God, faith, religion, myth should be connected in a meaningful tension with the logos, the logical thinking, the consciousness of the 21st century in the thinking and feeling of the students,

• In this way, it contributes to religious orientation and to a pluralistic school,

• is clearly structured in terms of content and form: Each chapter corresponds to a chapter in the curriculum, the double-page layout is clearly designed and concentrates on the essentials: non multa, sed multum,

• The four process-related competencies are organically linked to the three subject areas, while at the same time always keeping in mind that, according to Christian understanding, the human being is more than is reflected in his or her competencies, and that, especially in the existential dimensions of religious education, the results of the learning process often lie in the area of the learners' personal freedom,

• The new task culture practices this: the operators ensure that the tasks are assigned to the different areas of challenge, and the challenge situations at the end of each chapter activate the students to a particular degree and encourage them to take responsibility for their own learning,

• is characterised by a fresh, often surprising and unconventional selection of pictures and texts.

The book is accompanied by a teacher's guide in digital form. The materials it contains offer new ideas for experienced teachers as well as a wealth of support and ideas for young colleagues.
