Theodor Storm und andere Persönlichkeiten in Ostholstein und auf Fehmarn

Author Bernd Gerwanski, A5, paperback, 60 pages and 25 illustrations Bernd Gerwanski, born in Oldenburg in Holstein, worked there as a freelance journalist until 2021. Among other things, he wrote numerous articles about poets and other interesting personalities who lived in Ostholstein for a time or were born there. The best known of all of them today is still Theodor Storm. The others are more or less unknown to the general public. What they all have in common is that they have a regional connection to eastern Holstein - but also an importance that in some cases extends beyond Germany. These include Fritz Grasshoff (author of an unusual carol singing game), Klaus Groth (author of "Quickborn"), Wilhelm Jensen (author of over 150 books), Ferdinand W. Lafrentz (published the first book in Low German in the USA), Christian Cay Lorenz Hirschfeld (founder of gardening in Germany), Moritz Momme Nissen (North Frisian linguist), Johannes Stricker (wrote the play "The Rich Man")ck vom reichen Mann), Julius Stinde (considered a Berlin writer), Conradine Stinde (taught girls home economics), Christian Müller (the gymnastics father from Mississippi) and Ludolf Wienbarg (an opponent of the Low German language).
