Product details
In 1930, Freud completed his work "The Discomfort in Culture." In it, he takes a broad approach to defend against the politicization of psychoanalysis and explores, among other things, the question of why people often have an aversion to their own culture. He concludes that every culture forces individuals to restrict certain drives. Humans always live in a partial contradiction to their biological predisposition within their cultures. In 1933, the essay "Why War?", which was created in collaboration between Freud and Albert Einstein, was published. Einstein had invited Freud to exchange ideas on how humanity could avert the calamity of war.
