Abstract: Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King, is regarded as one of the most extraordinary and prominent monarchs in history. His reign represents the pinnacle of absolute monarchy in Europe. In 1643, he ascended to the throne at the age of four, following his father, the absolute ruler Louis XIII, and held the position for 72 years. Initially, Cardinal Mazarin served as the chief minister, managing state affairs; after his death, Louis XIV took over the governance independently, marking the beginning of his absolute rule. Under Louis XIV's reign, France underwent a significant and consequential transformation.
