The snowman in the refrigerator, picture stories

It's not as easy as you might think to make the promise of picture stories. However, merely describing the sequence of images does not in itself produce a story. Reading "between the pictures" is what brings the action, makes understanding possible. The child also needs an extensive vocabulary. In order to remedy the possible lack of suitable words and terms, there are word lists for each picture, which can be "fumbled along" while writing. It is up to the teacher to decide whether to work on the vocabulary together with the children or whether he/she should give some of the words (e.g. on the blackboard).
