Product details
The unchanged lecture text (read in the winter semester 1955/56 at the University of Freiburg i. Br.) has deliberately retained the repetitions of the same train of thought. The lecture was held on May 25, 1956 at the Club zu Bremen and on October 24, 1956 at the University of Vienna. What was not presented and the subsequent references are put in square brackets. The sentence from the base: Nihil est sine ratione. One translates: Nothing is without a reason. What the sentence says makes sense. It says that our mind is always and everywhere looking for the reason or that human imagination necessarily always looks for a reason. According to Heidegger, this action is older than the sentence itself, which pronounces it. Strictly speaking, it is - in its Latin version - first formulated by Leibniz, thus, in the 17th century, positively expressed, the sentence: "Every being has one.
