Uwe Britten, born in 1961 in Werl (Westphalia), completed his high school diploma through a second educational path in 1983 and studied German studies and philosophy. He is the author of several youth novels and social studies and is deeply engaged with the life and work of Honoré de Balzac.
Angelika Fischer, born in 1947 in Berlin, completed an apprenticeship in photography at the renowned E. Bieber studio in Berlin-Steglitz. She then worked as an industrial and press photographer. Since 1983, she has been a freelance photographer. Her images have appeared in various publications both domestically and internationally, while simultaneously she created free artistic series in black and white on various themes.
Angelika Fischer is the author of numerous book publications, including "Bastionen des Lichts," which was awarded by the Stiftung Buchkunst in 1997, as well as the cultural-historical series "Spurensuche" and "Zwischen den Zeiten." Since 2002, she has been the image author and co-publisher at Edition A·B·Fischer. Her images shape the aesthetic of the publication series "Menschen und Orte" and "Wegmarken," as well as the volumes of the "Literarischen Zeitreise" about Venice, Zurich, and Petersburg. Her book "Coco de Mer" was published in 2008 in both German and English editions, and in 2010 also in French.
Additionally, she has held numerous solo exhibitions, including the traveling exhibition "Menschen und Orte," which has been shown in museums across Germany since 2009, and has participated in group exhibitions.
