The little book of the sea: Islands

Islands are places of longing, far from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Small worlds in the vast sea, shaped by the eternal rhythm of ebb and flow. They have always fascinated people and sparked their imagination. Each island is unique. Each island has its own character and its own captivating history. We want to take a closer look at these wave breakers. Where the wind resides and the view stretches into infinity. Where no ship sails in the evening and everything seems so manageable. We have selected more than ten islands. Among others, we will explore Helgoland, the red rock in the German Bight. Föhr, the island of the captains. Islay, Scotland's whisky island, and Iceland, our island of longing in the North Atlantic. With the new series "Little Book of the Sea," Ankerherz is creating a library of longing.
