Ursel Allenstein, born in 1978, translates works by authors such as Sara Stridsberg, Johan Harstad, and Tove Ditlevsen. She received the Hamburg Promotion Prize in 2011 and 2020, the Promotion Prize from the Kunststiftung NRW in 2013, and the Jane Scatcherd Prize in 2019 for her translations from the Scandinavian languages.
