Product details
The collapse of the Soviet Union was seen worldwide as the definitive proof of the failure of the planned economy and that the economy should not be determined by politics. Giulietto Chiesa and Marcello Villari, however, point out that our so-called free market economy is ruled by ÝBolsheviks of capitalism& and that our democracy is consistently undermined by the interpenetration of finance and politics. The real threat to our social standards and our democracy comes not from outside but from within, namely from an unscrupulous global superclass that will stop at nothing to generate even higher profits of its own and that, by means of consistent deregulation and acceleration, is putting the world market out of control. The fact that this happens at the expense of the living space and quality of life of millions of people is only one aspect of the problem, because in order to maintain its supremacy, this superclass is dependent on a consistent destabilisation of the world. With the help of the media, therefore, a constant climate of fear and insecurity is created, whereby the conditions for a broad acceptance of warlike actions and thus a worldwide militarisation are to be achieved in public opinion. This consistent manipulation by the media has been successful in the USA, but not yet in Europe.
