The cosmic balance

When the sun enters the sign of Libra on September 23, it marks the autumn equinox. Once again, day and night are of equal length. After the ascending phase (from Aries to Virgo), the descending phase begins (from Libra to Pisces). Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac. Why is there a scale in the sky, and what does it teach us? Among the many beings—humans and animals—that represent the zodiac, Libra is the only object, more precisely a measuring instrument, that seems to balance the forces of light and darkness, the forces of life and death. The Libra in the zodiac is a reflection of the cosmic scale, the balance of these two opposing yet complementary principles, through which the universe was created and continues to exist. The symbol of Libra, which can also be found in the Tree of Sephiroth, governs all of creation.
