The Australian Connection

Reading is fun - with exciting, informative, and controversial readings, the Cornelsen English Library series gradually introduces students to longer texts. The series is divided into fiction and cultural studies. The readers are offered in three levels of difficulty throughout the learning years. Level 1 consists of simpler readings, Level 2 includes readings of medium difficulty, and Level 3 features texts for high-achieving learning groups. All readers contain an alphabetical vocabulary list. From the 5th learning year: An 18-year-old Brit wants to visit his father in Australia, of whom he has only fragmented memories from childhood. Alex wants to know who his father is and what he is like. Before he finds out, he experiences a lot of unexpected events. For example, he meets Dani - it's love at first sight.
